Booking
An advanced payment, as Housing placement fee must be paid at the time of booking € 1000 . It is not a refundable deposit, but an advance that covers the first period of rent and will be credit against the final bill. No contract will exist between us unless and until we have received the bank transfer, details of the period of rental required and the apartment assigned and we have subsequently confirmed your booking by e-mail. Should you later cancel, the cancellation charges, as stated below, will become payable. It is understood that this contract automatically expires at the end of the period stated on the booking form.
Payment of the balance
The balance due, as reflected on the invoice, must be paid directly to Your Place in Rome upon arrival if the stay is less than 4 months. Longer periods will be paid by semester in advance.
Alterations and cancellations by you
Paid housing costs may be fully refunded when written notification of withdrawal from the housing Program is received before the payment dead-line, 90 days, to the term for which the housing was requested. After that date, until 60 days before arrival 80% and before 30 days Housing Costs may be refunded 50%. After the housing unit has been occupied, no refund is possible.
Alterations and cancellations by us
Even though it is highly unlikely we will have to make changes to confirmed arrangements, it does occasionally happen. If, for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide you with the property booked, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to a similar property. If the replacement property is not to your liking, and if we are unable to provide you with an acceptable substitute property, a full refund will be given and the booking will be cancelled once written confirmation to that effect is received from you. However we will not be liable in respect of any further obligations or claims by you.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is due on every property to cover any breakage or other damage. This deposit will be returned to you in full on departure, provided there are no deductions to be made on account of damage to the property or its contents. Judgement regarding the condition of the property upon your departure is at the sole discretion of Your Place in Rome.
Behaviour
Once the contract has been signed and you are in possession of the apartment you are accountable for your behaviour and that of those in your party. Your behaviour should be considerate of others and responsible. Should you and/or your party behave in such manner that is not considered acceptable by civilised standards or your/your party’s behaviour conflicts with our philosophy of polite and constructive international relations, YPR has the right to ask you and/or your party to immediately vacate the premises.
Liability
YPR will not, under any circumstances, accept any liability arising out of, or in any way connected with your use and occupancy of the apartment, including, but not limited to, injury, damages or losses from fire, theft or criminal activity. YPR is not liable for any consequential damages.
Jurisdiction
Any dispute concerning either the booking contract and/or the rental contract is subject to the governing laws of Italy and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Rome, Italy over any claims, disputes or other matters in question between the parties.
